Look out for 'abandoned treasure' in Railway Stations !

This kid never minded a ‘jolly wolly’ stay in the railway station living on whatever food he could on the mercy of the passengers. Who put him there? How did he end up living there? No one knows. But things have changed suddenly. He was lying there abandoned without food for three days.

We do not for how long he has been living there and what circumstances have led him to lead this lonely life amidst a crowdy railway station in Vizag. After three days, we Yuva team approached him to find more details, he has gone haywire. May be, this is the strategy this little mind could come up with to defend himself when strangers approach him. He cried aloud, shouted, hushed away our volunteers.

The railway police didn’t even have any clue of the kid and his state and the people who were very busy in boarding and deboarding the trains, rushing and hurrying didn’t bother to pause for a second to see who is under the blanket lying motionless. This is the state of the society and we have no idea how many such kids, in how many more places are lying abandoned like that.

When the kid is brought to the Yuva home and made to relax, fresh up and eat, there was no end to his joy. The happiness in his eyes when he saw the food was heart rendering. Then he started playing with other kids and in no time he put his pains behind and was jumping with joy.

On complaining to the police, he was once again taken to the railway station for inquiry. The moment he saw his place in the station, he ran quickly to it and slept off in his place. He made this tiny 3 feet space his home, where he used to sleep, sleep and sleep no matter whether he ate or not.

Five years is a tender age, where kids in our home don’t even know what hunger would be like as we feed them time to time, nutritious food and this is the age, the parents will be making memories with their kids slowly learning and practising A, B, C, D….. This is no age for suffering. This is the age of budding, if given proper care, will turn out to be a flower whose fragrance the society can enjoy. If abandoned at budding stage, it will get dried up as a bud.

Please! In the beautiful garden of this world, let us try and add more and more fragrance….
In these kind of cases, the least you can do is to inform near by police or call us YUVA… We will be there…. http://www.facebook.com/groups/genrationyuvaa/
